It was all too easy. There was no pressure from anybody so I just rowed the coarse well within myself.
When it looked like all that hype (hot air) coming from Bingles (What Bingles machine?) wasn't going to eventuate I just backed off the throttle and cruised over the finish line.
In my old age, my eye sight is not as good as it use to be, but there was someone that resembled Bingles some distance back.
The results say that I won by some 14 seconds so realistically Bingles was dreaming if he thought he could win that race.

Now now Rolly, what do we see in Rpound 4's results? I think we see cpomplete vindication of the handicapper's stance,
and proof that you are one of the leaders of the PHRC "trick the handicapper" group. Binglis has certainly trained you well....
although his easy  2nd place on Saturday was noted as well. Maybe you should tell him that if he does quarter slide
checks all the way down the Henley staging again, we might notice.

handicappers are not evil,

they just favour some people over others.

Another race goes by and still the same result.    LAST  !!!

I had the misfortune of sculling past that evil handicapper on Sunday.
His comment to me was "What happened to you in the race"
I was dumb enough to tell him the truth " I've been cross country skiing all week doing hill sprints up Mt Nelse"
"My body was spent before I even got into the boat"

Now I fear the worst. That unrelenting evil man is going to hit me with the same handicap. Just because a certain PHRC sculler pulled a swifty on him in a past season and won the shield. As a consequence the rest of us have to suffer.
