The Steel work is in, and the Pylons have been errected.

Yes they are very tall, some say it is to avoid the one in a bazillion year flood, others say that the captain has an issue with size.. i must say they are very tall, shiny, monolithic and impressive.


The floating part is in the process of being assembled, and is likely to be put in on cup day. our Western australian constructors will be flying in for the a couple of days. Aparently its not a public holiday over there. Thanks to hatsi for sending in teh photo.

omigod - so excited - saw it all 'in' (pontoon too) from the motorway on the way home tonight!!!! can wait to not get my feet wet next time i row!
