Welcome to round 2 of the Budgie Cup. Named in honor of Len Budge, a consummate winter training specialist, valued club member, and Captain of the club. He was also a winner of the prestigious Herald shield. the Budgie cup is a handicap event, so the youngest and fittest may not necessarily have all the aces.

This week sees the entry of one of the more beautiful members of the club, Jeanette Lambert. (sorry guys, you are just not pretty enough). The handicapper has been at work, and a certain Mr Carew has definitely slipped a few dollars into the officials slush fund. He has earned a remarkable 40 seconds for his efforts last week. What is exciting is that the Denis Cup has been reduced down to one field, which is mainly Power House. So Pete don’t be afraid to razz Geoff and Craig on the start line as you take your healthy lead.

As predicted Doug and Geoff has been punished for their excellent rowing last week. As you can see the honest work horses have kept their score intact. The handicapper must hate you Roland. On the other hand John and Coops are favored by the handicapper, and have been rewarded for coming last.... unlike Roland.

Benson and Hills have maintained their sizeable advantage, hopefully they can hold onto it long enough to rack up some points.
