Power House Rowing Cluyb members gathered on Wednesday 15th April 2026 for a cosy and delicious evening of Mussels & Chips Night. Members enjoying an evening that felt every bit like a feast. Two standout mussel dishes were on offer—one rich and creamy, the other bringing a subtle spicy kick—alongside endless bowls of hot chips and a fresh salad option for those wanting something lighter.

The food was matched beautifully with excellent wines and bubbles generously donated by Alex from Prince Wine Store, adding an extra touch of warmth and indulgence to the night. Laughter, conversation and the unmistakable aroma of mussels filled the clubrooms as members settled in for a relaxed social evening together. More than a few joked that it was “mussels night of a different kind”—finally a chance to flex without needing actual muscles or an erg score.

Events like this remind us how lucky we are to have such an engaged and enthusiastic community. A huge thank you goes to Alex, Linda and Brendon from the social committee for organising the feast, preparing the food and creating such a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
