What a great weekend on the Mitchell River.

Around 20 Power House members made the trip to Bairnsdale in late August, joining  Bairnsdale Rowing Club for two days of rowing, coaching and a very social weekend.

We were lucky with beautiful weather on both days, which made for excellent conditions on the river.

The coaching from Patrick and Cindy was extremely valuable, with plenty of focused technical work across the weekend. Everyone came away having made some really noticeable improvements, both individually and as crews.

A big thank you also to Ron for driving the tinnie, and to Belinda and Chris for organising and keeping everything running smoothly.

Bairnsdale Rowing Club were incredibly generous hosts, making their boats available for us to use and providing homemade cakes for afternoon tea. Saturday finished with everyone heading to the local pub for dinner together.

It was a hugely successful camp, with plenty of quality time on the water, some great improvements and a chance to get to know our friends at Bairnsdale a little better.
