Members roll up their sleeves at working bee

Published Wed 22 Apr 2026

Our End of Summer Season Club Working Bee was held on 12 April 2026. It brought together together a dedicated group of members who spent their Sunday morning caring for our boats, boat shed, gym, gardens, hall and the tank.

Across the morning, members, families, supporters and our Head Coach joined in to lend a hand. Armed with the Club Jobs List — along with cloths, vacuum cleaners, hoses and tools — the working bee once again proved that our club runs on far more than oars and ergos.

Inside the shed volunteers tackled sorting spare parts, cleaning racks numbering shoes and clearing out long‑forgotten gear. Outside, trimming overgrowth, clearing pathways and pruning helped tidy the clubhouse entrance.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and gave their time and energy. Thank you also to the members who were unavailable on the day and will be picking up the remaining Clubs Jobs List tasks from The List is still up and accessible here.

Thanks too to the BBQ lunch chefs who looked after our energy levels.

Our efforts help keep the club running smoothly and ensure we can train safely and efficiently. Stay tuned for the next working bee later this season!
