This year’s theme was A Night on the Nile, with members embracing the evening in 1930s river-cruise style, flowing fabrics, fezzes, scarves, gold touches, club blazers and a few strong nods to Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile. The clubhouse was set for a warm winter dinner, with fairy lights, Moroccan and North African inspired food, drinks and awards.
Awards Night is one of the key moments in the club calendar. It gives us the chance to recognise not only racing success, but also improvement, service, commitment and the many off-water contributions that keep Power House running.

The awards for Most Successful Male Master and Most Successful Female Master were not awarded this season.
A special congratulations goes to Lacinta Rodriquez, who received three awards on the night: Most Successful Oarswoman, the Captain’s Trophy and the Paul Dean Club Person of the Year. This was strong recognition of both her performance and her contribution to the wider life of the club.
Congratulations also to Ross Mursell and Deb Spring for their on-water results, to Chris Schlicht and Sarah Ross for their improvement across the season, and to David Mayes, Jodie Johnson and Janelle Gostelow for the significant contributions recognised through their respective awards.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise the night, prepare the food, set up the clubhouse, present the awards and bring the theme to life. Events like this do not happen without a lot of quiet work behind the scenes.
Most of all, thank you to the members, coaches, coxes, volunteers, committee, families and supporters who contributed across the 2025/26 season.
Congratulations to all award recipients, and well done to everyone who made the season what it was.
