Help choosing rowing and membership options

The rowing-interest question helps the club direct your enquiry. It does not determine your membership category or allocate you to a squad. If unsure, select Not sure - please help me choose.

  • Learn to Row: beginners learning to row.
  • Social Rowing: recreational rowing.
  • Development Squad: a coached programme for rowers developing their skills after learning to row.
  • Grade Rowing: club training and grade racing.
  • Masters Rowing: training and racing in Masters events.

School Group: if joining through an organised school rowing arrangement, enter the school/group name in the separate optional School Group field. In the rowing-interest dropdown, School Group rowers joining for club grade racing should select Grade Rowing. Select Social Rowing for recreational rowing, Learn to Row for a beginner course, or Development Squad only if joining that coached programme. If your group activity is unclear, select Not sure - please help me choose and Membership will assist. These rowing-interest options are separate from Junior, Student and Senior Membership categories.

School Group applicants joining as rowers: under 18, select Junior Membership. Aged 18 or over and studying full-time at school, university, TAFE or another recognised educational institution, select Student Membership and provide a current student card or enrolment evidence showing full-time study. Other applicants aged 18 or over should select Senior Membership. Follow any separate registration instructions supplied for your group. Applicants joining only as coxswains should select Coxswain Membership.
